All Pearl Harbor attractions are accessible to the general public, some for free.

Getting to Pearl Harbor:
Book a tour (recommended during high season),
Catch the bus (#20 or #42, $2.50 one-way),
Drive there (parking is free),
Catch a shuttle (~$18 roundtrip).

If you are going to Pearl Harbor on your own:

The USS Arizona Memorial is free (or you can pre-book a ticket for a small fee), just make sure you get there early because since it's free the tickets do run out.

You can purchase a Two-Day pass to see the rest of the attractions there for $65 when you get there, or purchase tours of the individual attractions individually for:

Battleship Missourri
(Comes with tour)

$30.50

Pacific Aviation Museum
$30.50

USS Bowfin Submarine
$17.50

Gates open at 7AM and the first time to see the USS Arizona Memorial is at 7:30AM. Especially if you are only seeing the USS Arizona Memorial you'll want to get there as early as possible to secure your ticket, especially during high season when the tickets are all gone by 7:30AM.

Notes

Valid photo ID required to enter Ford Island. Shirts Required. No swim suits. No bags at pearl harbor (check them for $3 per bag or rent one of the lockers).

*USS Arizona Memorial not guaranteed! We know it's absurd for the USS Arizona Memorial to not be guaranteed on a tour of the USS Arizona Memorial, but there is a finite supply of tickets open to the general public. 99.9 percent of the time the tour comes with a ticket.

Pearl Harbor - USS Arizona Memorial

Description

Pearl Harbor is still an active military base today, but a section of it is a National Park and can still be accessed. You can access it yourself for free (parking is free or get there by bus or shuttle) and pay for things when you get there or book yourself on one of the handy tours and have everything prearranged for you. Please note that tour guides are only allowed 5 minutes on Pearl Harbor premises to orient visitors (you can purchase audio tours at Pearl Harbor for $7.50).

The Sites

USS Arizona Memorial - The USS Arizona Memorial is built over the remains of the sunken battleship USS Arizona, the final resting place for many of the 1,177 crewmen killed on December 7, 1941 when their ship was bombed by Japanese naval forces. Please Note: the USS Arizona Memorial is operated by the US Government and access is by shuttle boat - so if the shuttle is undergoing maintenance or on very windy/stormy days the shuttle does not operate and nobody is able to see the USS Arizona Memorial.

USS Missouri Battleship - The USS Missouri was launched on January 29, 1944, and is the last U.S. battleship ever built. After joining the battle for Okinawa, she became the site of the Japanese surrender on September 2, 1945. Today, she stands proudly overlooking her fallen sister ship, the USS Arizona, providing closure for America's fight to bring peace to the Pacific.

USS Bowfin Submarine - USS Bowfin (SS-287) is a fleet attack submarine that fought in the Pacific during WWII, and helped to make famous the term, “Silent Service.” Bowfin was launched on December 7, 1942, exactly one year to the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. She was nicknamed the Pearl Harbor Avenger, so it is fitting that she is permanently homeported at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Pacific Aviation Museum - Your journey back in history begins at Pearl Harbor on historic Ford Island in the hangars that survived the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941. There you'll find Hawaii's largest collection of airplanes and the stories that made them aviation icons. See educational videos and a stirring film featuring actual footage of the attack narrated by Pearl Harbor survivors. To test your skills as an aviator, fly Hawaii's most exciting combat flight simulators.

USS Oklahoma Memorial - The USS Oklahoma Memorial was dedicated December 7, 2007 on Ford Island in Pearl Harbor. Remembering 429 Marines and Sailors who lost their lives onboard the USS Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941. Combine the Oklahoma Memorial with visits to the Battleship Missouri Memorial Museum or the Pacific Aviation Museum, also located on Ford Island.
