Explore the many wonders that make this island special as you ride in comfort in an air-conditioned luxury motorcoach.
The tour will depart Waikiki and circle the island in a counter-clockwise direction. You'll first drive by the Diamond Head Lookout, then past Oahu's "Gold Coast", home to Doris Duke's Shangri-La and many other multi-million dollar estates.
Continue down the coast past Koko Head Crater to the first stop, Hanauma Bay (except Tuesdays when it's closed), an underwater nature preserve and the most visited spot on the island. A little bit further down the road, pass the 'From Here to Eternity' beach, and make a stop at the Halona Blow Hole, a natural formation that spews water into the air.
The tour moves on, past Sandy Beach, Makapu'u Beachand Makapu'u Lighthouse, and by the sparkling white sands of Waimanalo, then up into the Ko'olau Mountains, to the Nu'uanu Pali Lookout, for a breathtaking panoramic view of the windward side of the island.
The tour continues on, makes a souvenire stop (if time permits), until stopping around Kualoa Ranch, the site where such blockbusters as Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, and Pearl Harbor were filmed. Here you can purchase a buffet lunch, and take in views of Mokoli'i Island (Chinaman's Hat).
Next, the tour will continue along the picturesque coast of the lush windward side, by the famous North Shore surfing beaches (Sunset Beach, Banzai Pipeline, Waimea Bay, etc.), where the waves reach towering sizes in the winter months.
The last stop is the Dole Pineapple Plantation in the center of the island, where you'll get a chance to sample pineapples (a fruit native to Brazil, not Hawaii) as well as purchase souvenires.
Finally, roll through Honolulu and be dropped off back in Waikiki.
Each tour is narrated by a friendly, professional guide, whose wealth of information and anecdotes make for a tour you will always remember.
Why doesn't the tour go all the way around the island? The road doesn't connect at Ka'ena Point, the North-West point of the island.
